Moderates Bar Program on Stock Options Backdating
Philadelphia, Pa.—November 16, 2006—On
December 6, Richard A. Levan of Levan Friedman LLP will moderate a panel of
speakers at a Philadelphia Bar Association luncheon program titled Understanding
the Stock Options Backdating “Controversy”: It’s Never
Too Early. . .or Too Late.
This CLE-approved program,
sponsored by the Securities Regulation Committee of the Philadelphia
Bar Association, will highlight the difference between lawful and
fraudulent ratification of stock options, identify what in the options
backdating realm is actually unlawful, and present ways to prevent
option backdating from the legal and accounting perspectives, as well
as other topics.
Panel speakers include Amy
Greer, of the SEC; Neil Lang, of Sutherland Asbill & Brennan in Washington,
D.C.; Jeff Taylor, of Blank Rome; and Anthony
Creamer, of Navigant Consulting, Inc. The event will take place at noon at the Philadelphia Bar Association,
